One thing I will say about this pool and rec center: They are very clean.
They have an 8 foot deep end, which is rare!
No shade, so the water is warm.
There are two pristine but not very cold water fountains. Changing/restroom can be accessed from the pool deck. Men’s and women’s rooms each have two stalls, including one in each that is accessible.
There is a ramp to the pool deck from the front entrance of the recreation center, which is how chairbound folks could get to the pool. The pool, however, only has ladders to enter and exit. I saw a chair lift, but because the battery is dead on the wheelchair lift, it cannot be used, which is a repeat scene at several pools this season.
Curious to know the story of “Miss Jackie,” who is honored on the street signage in front of the rec center, as well as the lovely maritime mural alongside the pool deck.
