So it says it’s called Ziehler Pool, but Facebook initially wouldn’t let me tag this playground. I did find a sweet vintage photo from 1978 (included in the slideshow), which is around the time I might have been in this neighborhood visiting a church friend named Julie who I barely remember now…
The pool is scheduled to be rebuilt in the near future, according to signage and the listing on the website.
When they redo the pool hopefully they will keep the stairs and add a handrail. All other facilities look modern and functional, but no splash garden at least not for Summer 2024 so no relief from the heat here today! Next, I will double back to Cherashore Playground, where they have hopefully found another lifeguard so I can jump in.
