As a kid, I went to every other pool in this neighborhood, including two across the Boulevard and two further north.
But somehow never heard of this one.
What a great place. We had the whole pool to ourselves at noon, with six lifeguards. Folks were arriving as we headed off to the next place.
We were allowed to bring our bags inside. As we were leaving folks jumped around and were playing volleyball.
This pool/playground on Summerdale Avenue is very minimalist. There’s not really an obvious restroom or changing area. Adjacent to the pool are sports fields. I did not notice any stairs/handrails when I was there, which limits accessibility.
But after the disappointment of starting the day at a bone-dry Max Myers Pool, I was so happy to have “discovered “ this one.
