Note: As this site is being updated, the City website indicates two contradictory things:
1. The pool operates year round, yet it is listed as closed on the seasonal closures schedule.
2. The City site indicates that the pool is open as of 8/27 for regular operating schedule in spite of the closure schedule indicating that it closed to the public on 8/16.

I thought I would wait until a rainy day to check out the indoor pools, but since this seems to be the only one open and I was in the neighborhood, I stopped by today. Warm water, nice crowd, off-street parking, gendered locker rooms with private showers.
Summer hours: The pool is open 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday; it’s closed weekends and evenings. Senior swim is when lap swimming is encouraged.
There is a separate 12-foot diving pool, but according to a lifeguard that is never open to the public. I was slightly surprised that the diving pool has no diving board,
There were little diving/launching pads in the three-foot section of the main pool (or maybe they’re jumping pads — I don’t have much experience as a swimmer, so I’m not sure). My only other experience swimming in a Philly high school pool was at the (long-gone) William Penn High School in the 80s, and l I don’t remember seeing little launchpads (though there was definitely a diving board).
