The Philadelphia Dept Of health announced that this is the last week for Aqua fitness classes.
Additionally, some or all pools are closing early today for lifeguard, appreciation parties, and therefore scheduled Aqua Zumba class at Max Meyer’s pool at least will be canceled
A couple of teachers are trying to extend the season either officially via the Dept Of health, and/ or independently by offering the classes to students for a small fee until their respective pools officially close. As a result of their efforts, there may (or may not) be fitness classes at Mander next week and/or at Max Myers. Stay tuned for more more information on those matters… this post will be updated as more information is shared.

Pool closures are also beginning with Penrose and Simpson pools both closing this week., and with more closings scheduled throughout next week.
In spite of weather other challenges, it’s been a nice season with expanded aqua fitness, offerings, and amazing new teachers, as well as reopening of some pools that have been closed for multiple years.
If you are looking to swim between now and Labor Day, Amos Pool, (which just reopened two weeks ago). Has been informed that they will remain open for the entire season
